RIEDEL Performance is the first wine glass series to feature bowls with a light optic impact, enhancing the wine's aromatics. Co-designed by Georg and Maximilian Riedel, this technologically advanced collection is crafted for grape varietal-specific precision.
The Shiraz/Syrah glass is designed to perfectly balance the fruit, pepper, and spice aromas often found in medium-bodied red wines. The accentuated egg-shaped bowl enhances soft fruit and earthy characteristics while highlighting a long, savoury finish. It also brings out the wine’s silky, velvety structure and balanced flavours.
As part of the Performance series, this shape was refined in 2018 to amplify aromatic complexity. The optic impact not only adds a distinctive design element but also enhances the wine’s bouquet, providing a more immersive tasting experience.
