From the steep, low-yielding Bastard Hill vineyard, this Chardonnay represents one of the most distinctive sites in the Yarra Valley. Hand-harvested fruit is whole-bunch pressed and fermented with wild yeasts before ageing in fine French oak. The vineyard’s rocky soils and exposed position yield fruit of remarkable concentration, high natural acidity, and mineral drive. Crafted in very limited volumes, this wine is a rare and powerful expression of cool-climate Australian Chardonnay, combining intensity with finesse and long ageing potential.
