Les Chaumées is one of Chassagne-Montrachet’s prized Premier Cru vineyards, noted for its rocky soils and elevated position. The 2022 release by Simon Colin captures both intensity and finesse, combining concentrated fruit with a chiselled mineral edge. Traditional fermentation and maturation in oak barriques enhance texture and depth without overpowering the vineyard’s distinct character. Only small volumes are produced, making this a sought-after Premier Cru Chardonnay with excellent ageing potential.
